Increasingly difficult to find this vintage GEC 2kW studio lamp still comes with its original stand. It has been flawlessly polished and refitted as needed. It is now solid and ready for service. We have rewired it to accept a conventional bayonet bulb at a more acceptable 60/100W. All the internal lamp adjustments are functioning and it has an impressive set of barn doors as well as a fold-out sleeve to insert a coloured gel filter should you wish...
This is we believe a mirrored reflector from a second world war battleship.The centre of the glass is etched with the maker and the date. The optical clarity and depth of field is fantastic - still impressive 75 years later! One of the things we love about this piece is that the captured image changes according to your position in the room. Difficult to photograph but you are very welcome to come and view while the piece is still available for sale at our Spitalfields store. It comes supplied to wall-mount with a set of custom brackets.
