New shop opening April 2014

We are very pleased to announce the imminent opening of our new shop in the heart of Shoreditch -a short walk from our present location in Old Spitalfields and still close to Liverpool Street Station, as well as the recently opened Shoreditch Station. We are looking forward to showcase and present our latest collections in our new larger shop space set over two floors.

Shoreditch High Street is a rapidly evolving area with lots of exciting new neighbours and businesses all around. There has been a bit of a wait - 6 months - with Hackney Planning Office as they picked through our plans for this listed building which is housed in a spectacular facade that was once the Wells & Company Commercial Iron Works. Now the builders are in and work is currently underway to restore this forgotten space and make it the new home for elemental....

Just arrived!

A very well proportioned Edwardian Library Chair with beautiful wear to the leather.

A rare smaller sized fully sprung two seat Victorian Chesterfield with thick and sumptuous leather upholstery.

A series of original Walsall Flameproof Pendant Lamps in various combinations and sizes. Dating to around 1930 these early English industrial lamps were fabricated to a very high standard. We hope that our restoration has done them the justice that they deserve.

Slightly different...

...another model slightly different and smaller

We have a small series of these vintage ceramic bulb holders that we have re-fitted with new bayonet lamp holders, a small hooked gallery and a length of grey braided flex.... to interlace, to link together, to accumulate and play with the light...

More big salvaged metal letters with nicely faded paint and a presence that commands attention....many currently available.....

Elemental Shop at Old Spitalfields...

Brooks England

Brooks the well known bicycle saddle manufacturing brand have just opened their first London store in Covent Garden at 36 Earlham Street, WC2H 9LH. We were very pleased that for their London flagship retail store  - B1866 - they decided to source their furniture, accesories and lighting from elemental.

Have a look at the pictures below to see what they have achieved. Or do pay them a visit to get your own bespoke bike saddle made.
